My publisher, Gypsy Shadow Publishing, just announced their writing prompt for this month's competition. the story has to be a minimum of 3,000 words. Deadline is August 31st, 2010.
The winner's story will be published as an ebook with Gypsy Shadow Publishing. Although you probably won't make a ton of money selling this as an ebook, it would be a writing credit, you would get an editor to work with (great experience), and you'd learn more about the process of making an ebook.
Anyone interested?
Anyone have any questions about ebooks?

Interesting! There seems a lot of writing prompt contests coming out this month. I might try for this one. Thanks for the info!
That sounds interesting, and I love the picture! I'm going to think on it for awhile... but I may seriously consider entering. Thanks for letting us know!

Ooh, I'll have to take a look. Thanks for the linky!
It's an awesome picture, but I don't know how to fit in another short story I need to do this month. *laughs*

Very mysterious photo. Lots of possibilities.
Interesting...Thanks for the info!
I really wish I could write that small of a word count. That's a talent in itself.
I'm going to take a look at that! Thanks!
First of all--New Follower! *waves*
I really don't know how I've missed your blog before this, but I'm glad I've found you now.
And aw, I wish my agent, and planning WriteOnCon weren't keeping me so busy, because this sounds interesting. Best of luck with it. And nice to meet you!
Have a great day!
If I wrote in that genre, I'd be in! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful picture. Definitely fantasy. Maybe forest-type creature.... hm. I just might write something. Or not. I have a lot of other short stories I want to write, plus novels that really need to get started, and I'm still tweaking my query letter for Hidden in Shadows... so much work to do, so little time to do it all!
I haven't really done short stories, but maybe I'll try. I'll click the link.
What an awesome opportunity Aubrie!!! I think I'll look into this, at least for practice even if I don't win!
I'm not one for writing prompts, but I love the picture. That's bound to inspire some awesome stories. (Yes, I did check to see what the prompt was. I was curious.)
Wow, the picture is fantastic! Hmmm, don't know if I can think of anything right now...but I'll try. Too, I have something for you over on my blog...stop by when you get the chance!
