Six Sentence Sunday: Reconnaissance

Lyra, the other girl on our last research team, took the microphone, and her voice sailed out, sweet and soulful over the techno beat.

“Flying on a journey across the stars… No one knows what to expect… Our hearts look ahead and not back…The end is near…”

Her last words resonated in my mind with a new meaning. The song spoke of the end of a centuries-long journey, but after seeing that ship outside fry the jungle in seconds, I interpreted it to mean our end.

Not if I have anything to do about it.

I rushed ahead, not caring who I nudged the wrong way.

"This book was much more action packed than number one every single page if over flowing with action and terrifying new challenges." Scandalous Book Blog

"Dionne gave readers a history of Nova's life and an explanation on her behavior with Annie in the first book. It made me (a person that disliked Nova) honestly felt guilty for judging her the way I did. I actually found a lot of emotional connections with Nova." Books with Tien

"Just when I thought this series was going to have a hard time topping the book one...BAM! Reconnaisance by brilliant author Aubrie Dionne does it!" Dianne- Goodreads Account
