Vacation Day 2: Universal Studios

Day two of our vacation! Part one.

This is a picture of the actual studio/movie/TV sets at Universal Studios. The studios are found right below the theme park. You can take a ride at the theme park and tour them that way. Or you can do what we did and pay an excessive amount of money (worth every penny by the way) to have a V.I.P. tour where you get to get off of the bus and tour the inside of one of these studios.
This is the actual chair from the movie Gladiator. You can see a picture at my waist of the movie scene where it's used. Universal has its own prop museum located all the way down the escalators near the Transformers ride.
Going on the Transformers 3D ride.

These rides are amazing. They seems so real I screamed my head off the whole time! My favorite part: when a missile launches at my head, and then you feel the heat as it crashes beside the cart.

Don't let them fool you: this Jurassic Park ride has a BIG roller coaster jump at the end. You just can't see it from the front of the ride. And you do get wet. Dinosaurs spit at you from the shore. All in fun, right?

I grew up watching the Simpsons, so this ride brought back a lot of memories. Each ride has it's own storyline, and this one was very much like the TV show. Carnival sideshow helper, Bob ( I think), is out to take revenge on Crusty the Clown, and he ends up taking control of Crusty's theme park ride and taking out his revenge on you! The most icky part: when Maggie puts your cart in her mouth, and you smell baby powder (for real) and feel a splash of spit. I laughed so hard.
This is the car from the movie The Mummy. (A movie I totally loved.)They also had Mr. Bean's car, and the car from Back to the Future owned by Biff. (Yes, the manure one!)

That's it for today! Tomorrow I'll blog about the V.I.P. tour and the prop storage center!
