Happy Mother's Day!

Today we celebrated Mother's Day and my niece's 1st birthday- which fell right smack on Mother's Day. I wanted to post this picture of my sister, my mom and me at the party. You can see I look just like my mom and my sister looks more like my dad. It's really funny because people never think we're related. One time at work someone thought my sister was my sister-in-law because we looks so different.

My sister and I have such different personalities as well- I'm the flighty, artsy flute and writing girl and she's the no-nonsense, level-headed nurse who works on the organ transplant floor of a big hospital in MA. I don't have the courage to do what she does and she'd never want to play in an orchestra like I do. So different, but we get along just right. I take more after my mom- who majored in art in college, and my sister takes more after my dad who majored in philosophy and business.

It was so nice to get together and see my brother, his wife, my niece's meme and pepe (my brother-in-law's parents), and my parents  at the party. I know we only have so many mother's days with our moms, so I try to enjoy each one I get.
