Writing Update

The month of April was a great month for writing! 30,661 words, which keeps me on my goal of 365,000 words per year.

Here were some of the highlights:

-I finished an epilogue for Haven 6- due to be published from Entangled Publishing this fall. The epilogue deals with all of the colonization ships spreading through the galaxy. It's pretty epic and it took me a whole month to figure it out.

-I finished edits on Colonization: Paradise 21- due to be published from Inkspell Publishing October 7th.

-I finished the second book in the Colonization trilogy: Reconnaissance and sent it out to my beta readers! Can't wait to see what they think! This book has nasty aliens, not the peaceful kind in my other books.

-I started the third book in the Colonization trilogy: Alliance. This is told from Lyra Bryan's perspective, a smaller character from the first two books.

Here's what I'm waiting on:

-My submission for Frozen, my new YA sci fi trilogy about a girl who is cryogenically frozen. I'm expecting to hear about this very soon because Entangled is going through submissions right now.

-Covers for Colonization: Paradise 21 and Haven 6. I can't wait to see them!!!

What's going on with writing for you?

Congrats for sticking to your goals, Aubrie. You've got a lot of good things going on, and that's great to hear.

It means as readers, we have some fantastic stories to look forward to. :)

Excellent production! I'm working on two books at moment, and have taken a week out to prep an old one for ebook publishing. Usually I just get one finished and out, so I'm not in your league at this game...

I'm looking forward to reading Recon. It's next on my list of things to do after I finish proofreading Nicole's novel.

Good luck with Frozen!

As for myself, I plan to start working on Pull of Gravity this weekend.

I like that goal. I think I might try to copy it. Still trying to balance my reading, writing and blogging--well, and the rest of life.

Congrats on your goal.

I'm progressing on my goal of 7 stories published (or accepted for publication) this year.

I've self-pubbed one and have one on submission. Need to write another one and edit one before the end of May.

Can't wait for my kids birthday celebrations this weekend to be over so I can get back to writing.

Wow! You're doing fantastically. You're so productive. Do you sleep? ;) Good luck with your projects. Let me know when your next book comes out so I can read and promote it.

I'm starting a new project. A series of novellas that I'm going to self-publish. I'm really excited about it.

Wow, you're accomplishing so much already this year it's incredible!

I just started to offer editing services. And I'm querying a MG fantasy adventure novel.
