New Writing Prompt Competition

My ebook publisher, Gypsy Shadow Publishing, has just announced their next writing prompt. Two of my blogger friends won the last writing prompt, so it can be done!

from the GSP website:

"Look at the picture and write a story to go with it. All stories will be judged on originality, content and appropriateness. Stories should be a minimum of 3000 words and adhere to our writer's guidelines. Deadline for entry in the third round is October 31, 2010. The winning entry will be published as an eBook in a subsequent publishing cycle. One entry per contestant, please! Winners are encouraged to enter any and all contests, but are not eligible to win again for at least 6 months after they have won, to give others a fair chance to participate. The picture on the left will be your cover art (or a large part of it). Here's to your inspiration!

Anyone going to enter?

What a great photo. The stories will be all over the map from this one. Great.

Have they published the winners from the previous prompts? I was looking around and got page errors so I gave up looking.

That's a great picture. If something comes to me, I'll give it a try.

Thank you so much, Aubrie.

I wouldn't have even known about the writing prompts, or GSP, if you hadn't posted it on your blog.

What a gorgeous picture! This is really interesting!

Not sure if I'll enter or not - I am going back to school tomorrow and am trying to finish my own MS - but I am tempted. This deserves some more thought.

Thanks Aubrie.

This sounds exciting, if I hadn't already made a seriously time consuming goal for my WIP I'd totally do it.

A really intriguing picture...I almost can't stop staring at it. I am still so far behind, I can't imagine having time to write anything.....so I wish everyone luck.

Also, it's way cool that two of your blogging buddies won! How neat is that!?!!

What a cool idea!

Nope, I'm not going to do it, tho. I'm not much for short stories. Novels for me. ;)

Very cool!!! I love to see that a few of the commentors are going to join in on the fun! I unfortunately am going to pass, but it's very neat nonetheless!
