Latest Contract News: Spencer Hill Press!

I am sooo excited to announce Frozen, my YA sci fi manuscript written three hundred years before A Hero Rising at the hieght of the skyscraper nation on Old Earth, sold to Spencer Hill Press for an advance! I signed the contract last Thursday and mailed it two seconds later.

Frozen tells the story of a teenage girl from our time who is cryogentically frozen to stop a terminal illness. She wakes up three hundred years later when they find a cure only to find out that everything she's ever dreamed of is now gone.

I'm so excited about this book. I think it has real potential to outsell my other titles because of the ideas presented on endangered species, and what it means to follow your dreams.

I'm especially ecstatic that Spencer Hill Press will be publishing it! They've rejected one of my manuscripts in the past, so I've been wanting to collaborate with them for some time. If this proves anything, it proves that you have to keep trying.

Spencer Hill Press is a publisher in New Hampshire, about 50 minutes from where I live. This is very exciting, because it gives me the opportunity to collaborate on a whole new level with a publisher. They also have gorgeous covers- you should see the latest cover reveal- and their books are always highly rated on Goodreads with a ton of reviews. They have an extensive blogging network, and provide a generous amount of hard copies to both the author and reviewers.

The tentative release date for Frozen is summer 2014.
