Writing Update:Waiting on Submissions! Yikes!
I had a great month for July. Two cover reveals, two submissions- the second book in my Paradise Reclaimed series, and the proposal for the contemporary romance to Entangled Publishing, and a few more requests for fulls for my YA sci fi book! I also read through about 50 queries for my agent, which helped my own writing become sharper. Best of all, I made my word count goal:
Word count for the month: 30,866
*happy dance* 1k a day for 365 days is really working and paying off. At the end of the year, I'll have 4-5 books worth of writing.
Also, I just found out you can preorder the paperback for Colonization at Barnes and Noble for only $9.44- on sale!
Now, the biggest writing month is ahead of me. I'm going to finish my contemporary romance-due mid month- and my fantasy romance-due the end of the month- in the same month. I have a good two and a half weeks off, so I'm planning on turning that time into productive writing time.
And I'm checking my email constantly for answers to those full requests. I have some big publishers interested, and I'm just waiting for one to bite. I keep thinking-this is going to be the one! I'll definitely keep you updated on the whole process. If you'd like to know the details- just email me off the blog and I'll let you know.
So, what's going on for you? Anyone interested in having me look at their query? (First person to say yes gets a free query lookie.)
