Angie's Out of This World Adventure

My blogger friend, Angie Lofthouse, is having an epic contest at her blog. Her stories are marvelous and quite an inspiration to me. Today I'm giving you a link to her story titled "Fidelity"

This story was a top ten finisher in the Science Fiction Writers of Earth short story contest in 2000, and first appeared in the anthology Unparalleled Journeys, from the writers of Amazing Journeys magazine, in 2005. Readers had this to say:

"A truly enjoyable story mixing the feel of a fairy tale with a futuristic world, rolled up in a serious drama."

The theme of "Fidelity" is, "to thine own self be true." Do our genes control our fates?

To enter The Out of This World Adventure giveaway, click on the story title to read the story, then come back here and answer the following question in the comments:

Where do your highest loyalties lie?

Your comment will give you one entry in the grand prize drawing(includes an Amazon gift card, free book and other fun stuff!), plus one commenter on this post will win a Milky War bar. Mmmm. Include your email address, if it isn't on your profile, so we can contact the winners.

Be sure to visit the other stops on the Adventure and good luck!

Me, too, Tiff. God first and then family. Thanks so much for hosting the story, Aubrie!

I have always liked this story!

My loyalites lie with my God and my family. Oh, that's just exactly what Angie said! I guess great minds really do think alike! ;)

Great story, again! I am so glad my loyalties have never been tested like that, but I believe that God and Family are number one on the list.

I'd like to believe that my highest loyalties lie with God first, and then family. I'm secretly worried that I am actually quite selfish, though, and if I were tested, I might fail and choose myself instead.

Nice twists and turns in this story, Angie.

My loyalties lie with my family. If government is there to protect my family's rights, I'm then loyal to my government.

Interesting. Do our genes control our fate? No way. Circumstances don't either.

My loyalty is God first then family also!

Wow, a very action packed story!

My loyalties are definitely with God, my family, my close friends, my old high school, and the BYU Cougars. :)
