Another Award!

Cher Green gave me this awesome award today! Thank you, Cher! Now I'm going to get really creative. I have to list 6 outrageous lies and one truth. Everyone needs to guess which one is the truth:

Here we go.

1. I graduated from Star Fleet academy with a degree in flying starship freighters.

2. I have enough midichlorines in my blood to be Anakin Skywalker's sister.

3. I bested Conan the Barbarian in a sword duel last spring while on a quest to capture all the jeweled thrones of the earth.

4. You can see me in Pirates of the Caribbean as the pirate standing next to the one with the glass eye. (Look for the blond hair)

5. Someday I'll run for President so that I can change all the names of the states to fantasy names like, "Rivendale".

6. Actually I was supposed to take the ring to be destroyed but I was too busy teaching flute, so Frodo filled in for me. Thank you Frodo.

7. Ever since I watched E.T. I've been afraid of the closet and I have to sleep with the door closed.

Now, which one is the truth? I know you'll have a hard time guessing, but take your time and think hard.

I bequeath this award to:

Cherie Reich
Lisa Rusczyk
Bethany Mattingly
M. Gray

The Happy Award

Cher Green over at Footsteps of a Writer gave me this Happy Award a few days ago! Thank you, Cher!

So here are ten things that make me happy:

1. COFFEE. I love coffee. If I don't have my coffee in the morning I don't want to talk to anyone, just type on the computer. But after I have my coffee, I'm chatting away to anyone who will talk to me!

2. FANTASY MOVIES Star Wars and LOTR makes me sooo happy. I think I've watched each Star Wars movei about a hundred times. And LOTR is getting up there as well. Pirates of the Caribbean comes in as a close third. They also provide my inspiration for writing.

3. DESSERTS I have to have my desert after lunch, and one after dinner. Now, I'm trying to cut down on one a day, so I split it in half and eat half after lunch and half after dinner. I love cookies, chocolate, pie, jello, ice cream...I could go on and on.

4. GETTING COMMENTS ON MY BLOG You don't understand how happy this makes me! Once I post something I watch and wait for the comments to appear. And then I read them two or three times. It makes me feel like I'm connected to the world and people support me. Thank you gals!

5. MY CRITIQUE BUDDIES Every time I get an email from them it makes me happy. They know just how much to critique and how much to support me with compliments to keep me going. Thank you Cherie and Christine!

6. GOING OUT TO EAT This is quite an expensive habit, but I love it. Bertucci's, The Olive Garden, anything Italian!

7. MY FAMILY/FRIENDS They all supprt my writing and make so some awesome beta readers. Thank you!

8. COOKING This is a new habit of mine since my New Year's resolution, and it's really paid off! I've made zucchini casserole, fancy vegetable pasta, potato and leek soup, glazed carrots, barly burgers, and stuffed baked tomatoes. I'm feeling better because I'm eating healthier and it's cheaper than going out to eat.

9. WRITING need I say more!

10. FLUTE Since I turned it into my life and make all my money playing and teaching it's made me more unhappy than happy, but I'm trying to turn that around.

Now I bequeath this award to:

Cherie Reich
Lisa Rusczyk
Lindsey Duncan

Thanks for cheering me up with your comments and support!

Blog Awards!

Thank you to Bethany Mattingly who awarded me The Honest Scrap Award.

and thank you to Karen Amanda Hooper who awared me The Scribbler Award:

For The Honest Scrap Award I have to come up with ten things that you didn't know about me, so here they are:

1. I absolutly love Star Wars! My dogs are named Jedi and Leia, and my first dog ever was named Obie after you know who!

2. I have oddles of guppies. I bought about five of them from the pet store a few years ago, and they've had so many babies that now I have two tanks full of them!

3. I listen to classical music in the car, it helps me think up story ideas!

4. Like Bethany, I love to eat chocolate covered raisins. I think the fact that it's a raisin cancels out the fact that it's also chocolate!

5. I like to watch the Ellen Show in the mornings when I have time. She always makes me laugh.

6. I voted for Adam Lambert last year with two phones on either side of my head for American Idol.

7. Last summer I had my appendix removed! It was going to explode!! My stomach swelled up like I was pregnant and I hated it! Glad it's out now.

8. I read Christopher Pike books growing up. They were so bad but I loved them!

9. One night I dreamed that Mozart was listening to me play flute and he hated it! What a nightmare!

10. I'm the oldest of four: I have two younger brothers and a sister. My brother is getting married this New Year's Eve! (I'll post photos)

Now, I bequeath this award to:

Cherie Reich, Cherie's Writing Updates
Christine Rains, She's on Live Journal
Lisa Rusczyk
The Cajun Book Lady
Angie Lofthouse, Notes for the Writing Chair
